Daily Documentation

Every day I take photos. Every. Single. Day. Sometimes every hour. It's become part of who I am, an extension of what I am doing in any given moment. I wish I could carry my DSLR around with me constantly, but that's just not going to happen. Here, I present to you my top favorites from 2016, which is also the back of this year's family Christmas card.  Start taking photos - you'll be so happy you did. Your phone does a better job than you think.

Salt Flats Under Water

For months we've been planning a Salt Flats Extravaganza of photos.  And then the 55+ mph wind warnings started just as we were supposed to depart for our adventure.  Do we make the drive? Do we play it safe? Nobody even lives out there for us to call and say "Hey, how bad is it really?" (seriously; it's the middle of nowhere). Kenyons decided to go for it. We arrived... to find a lake! Nobody warned us about that! We made the best of it in the rapidly fading light and it was definitely a memorable experience for our 10th year of family photos together <3 p="">

Annie's Family

It's really great to take someone I know as an individual and meet their whole family through photos.  Annie is a great person inside & out; it was fun to see some of the reason why!

Salt Flats = Dream Come True

If you've ever wondered if the Salt Flats is worth the drive: yes.  Yes it is.

These guys made a video about it - start about 4.5 minutes in if you want just the Salt Flats parts.  Click here.

Thanks for talking me into this adventure! <3 p="">

Ryler's Baptism

Maybe I've decided boy's baptism photos are my favorite.  The last handful of shoots I've done in this genre have been fun fun FUN!  So much energy, such handsome little men.  Congratulations Ryler!

Talia's Senior Pics

My double-cousin's daughter counts as my genetic niece, right? This beauty traveled from Arizona for Senior Pictures (alright... and to see her grandma) but still I was honored to spend fun time with her, capturing her natural beauty.  So excited for your Senior Year, Talia!
