The joy of my photo shoots is that you never quite know what you're gonna get.

I tell people I'm not Kiddie Kandids, I don't try to recreate what they do, so if you're expecting that... well, you'll probably be disappointed.

Our attempt to get the perfect 1-year shot of Tanner turned into this:

This little beauty and I had a workout of a day playing around a shopping complex in Lake Oswego, Oregon. We managed to find one clear day in between bouts of snow :) Isn't she precious?

Winter Engagements

How exciting, to be planning a wedding at this time of year! I am honored to be chosen by Melissa, who also does photography, for her wedding photos! MUST. POST. PHOTOS.

This is one of those days every photographer dreams about - PERFECT lighting, perfect setting, cooperative weather, and happy kids. It was freezing cold outside but you'd never guess it with the smart planning of this family! We tromped around in this field for almost an hour but loved every second. Layers, people!

I also re-learned the lesson I mentioned here that the best way to get happy kid (or boy) pictures is to say "Let's go exploring!"

This first picture is my very favorite sofar. More to come, I'm nowhere near finished, but have spent my 3 hours tonight already.

a Freezing cold 20 minutes

You'd never guess by these darling pictures that it was in the 20's with freezing wind and blowing snow! Proof that winter shoots CAN happen.

This shoot is probably in my top 3 for the most productive 20 minutes EVER. Amazing pictures guys!
